Below is a picture that I drew of my husband, Rick.
Rick is a serious competitor in the sport of Armwrestling. And Yes! Armwrestling is a sport, for those of you who do not know that already, you are forgiven ;-)
The sport of Armwrestling has increased in popularity so much so, that tournaments are held all over the world. The movie "Over The Top" starring Sylvester Stallone, if you were fortunate enough to see, was about armwrestling. (I have been fortunate enough to see it, oh, about 1000 times...arg, LOL) Aside from the other story line of a father trying to gain the love and custody of his son. This story was based on a man known world wide as the world's best Armwrestler, John Brzenk.
John had a small part in the movie, as did a few other fellow armwrestlers. John Brzenk is so incredible at this sport that he is in the Guiness Book of Records!
My husband is also quite impressive in the sport. In 2004 he qualified to be on Team USA to compete at the "Worlds" in South Africa! That is pretty incredible, considering only a handful of the Nations top armwrestlers qualify for this event.
There he is pulling against Mike West, the current and three time World Champion!
